What are Turtle Safe flashlight filters, and why should you use them?

Turtle Safe flashlight filters are a fun and innovative way to deal with a growing problem, light pollution on turtle nesting beaches.  Each filter has an adhesive back for easy application to the lens of your flashlight.  Flashlights with Turtle Safe flashlight filters cast a red silhoutte of a sea turtle onto the ground, making them fun for children.

In a perfect world all humans would understand the significance of their actions and how these actions impact the world around them.  Many people include freedom of choice in their definition of a perfect world, but freedom does not come without responsibility.  It is the responsibility of communities as a whole to prevent actions that will bring harm to them or their natural resources.  If a community gives residents and visitors the freedom to use flashlights on turtle nesting beaches, then it should also provide them with the education and tools necessary to reduce or eliminate the harmful impacts of such actions.

Our flashlight filters are easy to use!  They work just like a sticker.  You peel them off and apply them to the lens of your flashlight, instantly converting it to a turtle safe flashlight.  The filters can by applied, removed, and reapplied to flashlights up to ten times before they start to break down.  We sell the filters wholesale in rolls of 500 or by the dozen.  They come in three different sizes .5" (for cell phones), 1", and 2".
